South Africa’s White Elephant?
“It’s only been a little over a month since the World Cup ended and the stadiums that cost South Africa $1.5 billion to construct and renovate for the tournament are already proving to be a “massive problem.” Despite government officials insisting that the stadiums wouldn’t turn into white elephants as the World Cup drew to a close, it seems like some of them are already becoming just that.”
“We are 11.”
Here is a new wicked as trailer for the upcoming Fifa 11 game, complete with new features, new players, improved graphics etc.
EA also just announced in this trailer a brand new mode: Be a Goalkeeper mode.
I doubt that anyone would want to play it given how boring it is to stand there doing nothing for 5 minutes at a time.
But regardless, everything else in the trailer is just amazing. Can’t wait to get a copy of this in my hands come October.
The new boys in the United block: Bebe, Chicarito and Smalling.
Funny names, the lot.
Robben. Pshhhhh….
And here’s a link to their article about the newest range of boots on show. The photo reel shows a few of the boots mentioned in the post with Nike, Adidas, Puma, Umbro, Mizuno and co. showing their hand for the season to come.
Gotta get me a pair of them adipures one day.
Since soccer is my favourite sport, I felt the need to fill the blog up with at least one obligatory post about the sport. Here is a link to a very interesting read done by the boys up in Soccer Bible.
Showcasing and analysing the different generations of balls used in the world soccer leagues, it gives a nice insight into Nike’s range on offer, as well as the time periods where each model is used.
Great set of balls indeed (lol)
